It's worth being honest about where the largest AI companies will and won't go. They'll chase the biggest, most profitable, most reachable markets — that's rational. It also leaves a great deal of important ground unserved.
The unserved ground
Public hospitals. Rural health centres. Smallholder farms. Veterinary and environmental frontlines in regions global players won't prioritise quickly. The need there is real and often more urgent — but the market looks less attractive on a spreadsheet, so it waits.
Why home-grown matters here
Intelligence built close to these problems — by people who understand the context, the constraints, and the languages — fits in ways a distant, general-purpose tool never will. This isn't about competing with the giants on their turf. It's about serving ground they'll leave open, with an engine designed for it.
The mission and the engine are the same thing
